The Canoe Outpost Way

§       Canoe Outpost is a family-owned and family-oriented place of business, we expect our customers to behave and have manners. We cater to families, churches, and schools, not the bar crowds.

§       Canoe Outpost does not tolerate rude and/or disorderly groups or individuals.

§       No fighting among customers or with staff members. Too much fun and sun can ruin the day for everyone, show a little restraint. If you can't control yourself, stay at home, we don't want to deal with you.

§       Canoe Outpost does not allow any un-chaperoned groups of kids under 21 years of age. Canoe Outpost will not tolerate under-aged drinking and will check coolers.

§       Canoe Outpost reserves the right to refuse service to anyone.

§       Canoe Outpost closes at 5:00 p.m. on weekdays, 6:00 p.m. on weekends. Our staff members have families and want to go home at closing time.

§       Canoe Outpost doesn’t “cut” special deals. Canoe Outpost has set prices and discounts with guidelines. Also see: If you have your own canoe or kayak

§       Canoe Outpost buses run on set schedules. If you are arriving after the designated check-in time or do not get loaded on the bus in the designated allotted check-in time, you will have to wait for a later bus.

§       Those who get checked in on time and get loaded in a timely manner, go first. Canoe Outpost doesn’t “hold” the bus. You may be on “vacation” mode but there are other people waiting to go, have some consideration for others.

§       Canoe Outpost does not rent square stern canoes.

§       Canoe Outpost has only one size canoe, 17’ Grummans, and the largest compartment is 28” x 31”. So don't bring the big oversized coolers (big white ones, 80 qt or bigger) or the oversized storage chests (80 qt. or bigger). Again, the largest compartment in the canoe is 28” x 31”.

§       Canoe Outpost does not allow any of the cross bars (thwarts) in the canoe to be taken out at any time .

§       No motors are allowed on Canoe Outpost canoes. It is illegal.

§       No boat motors, gas or electric are allowed on Outpost buses.

§       Canoe Outpost does not allow driving of vehicles on the beach at any of the Outpost facilities.

§       Canoe Outpost does not allow any vehicles associated with boats to park on Outpost property, we are “Canoe” Outpost, not “Boat” Outpost. Boats need to use the public boat ramp.

§       Canoe Outpost property is for the use of Canoe Outpost customers only.

§       Canoe Outpost requires a completed Credit Card Authorization (CCA) for all reservations during busy season. CCAs can be sent in advance or filled out at check-in. You will be held responsible for bad behavior, yours or the bad behavior of those that paddle with you.

 

The following are the NO-NOs on Canoe Outpost property, buses, and in Outpost canoes: 

No gas motors
No trolling motors
No car or marine batteries
No gas cans w/ gas in them
No generators
No chainsaws
No weed eaters
No guns
No bb guns
No blowguns
No bow and arrows
No pellet guns
No paintball guns
No potato guns
No air guns
No airsoft guns
No fireworks
No slingshots or wrist rockets
No stupid people
