Be transported back to the days of the Indians and first explorers as you explore this piece of Florida from days past.
For the novice or experienced paddler, the Peace offers something for all. Wilderness half-day, full-day, and overnight camping trips from two to eight days. Close to the center of the State, Canoe Outpost-Peace River, 2 miles west of Arcadia, is just a short drive from Orlando, Tampa, the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area, Naples, Sarasota, Bradenton, and Ft. Myers Beach & Sanibel. Come find a little peace and become a Peace Paddler!

Peace Paddler Friendly General Info:
Kid Friendly: Kids, 12 and under, as extra persons in canoe are free.
Family Friendly: Got kids? See above and you can put 2-3 little ones in the middle on the day runs. On overnight runs it gets a little crowded but do the shorter overnight runs and have your camping gear delivered to a reserved camping spot at Oak Hill so you have plenty of room in the middle for all the kiddos even the family dog!
Pet Friendly: Bring your well-behaved pet to the Peace. Pets on leash allowed on the property, on the buses, and in the canoes. We're one of the few outfitters in the state that allow or don't charge for pets in the canoes.
Group Friendly: Your group, no size restrictions are welcome. We offer Group Discounts and special group services; summer youth group program. We also have several locations on the river that have large picnic and camping areas. Folks have had weddings, family reunions, employee parties, school reunions, bachelor parties, and birthday parties on the river and at our different locations. Talk to Katie, our group coordinator every day except for Tuesdays and Wednesday.
Reservations: Please call 800-268-0083 to make reservations, we can't take reservations over the 'net yet. Reservations required on all trips on all holidays and for weekends during February, March, April, May, June, October, and November, on all overnight canoes, on all outfitted canoes, and with groups of 4 or more canoes for any trip. Weekdays, reservations usually not necessary for daily runs. A Credit Card Authorization (CCA) is required for all overnight canoes, on Saturdays during busy season, holiday weekends, for 6 or more canoes all trips especially groups, and for outfitted canoes. See link above for the authorization that can be printed out and faxed or mailed back to the Outpost. Departures can vary, call first.
Hours of operation: Open seven days a week, every day of the year except Christmas Day. Paddling Hours: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. weekdays and 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. weekends. Office hours for phone calls are 8:00 to 4:00 daily. Afternoons are usually the best time to call. Please don't call on Saturday mornings for reservations. Saturday is the busiest day of the week and the staff is getting folks checked in. If you call you will probably get the answering machine or a staff member that can't give you their full attention. Please call after noon on Saturdays.
