The Little Manatee Canoe Outpost is located on U.S. 301 only 40 minutes from Tampa, St. Petersburg, Bradenton, or Sarasota. The Little Manatee River is one of Florida's few unspoiled waterways. Designated an "Outstanding Florida Waterway", with one of the highest levels of water quality in the state. At average water levels, a 1.5 to 3 mile-per-hour current makes for easy paddling through the 2,200 acre Little Manatee River state park.  Picnic pavilions, rest rooms, hiking trails, and nature walks are along the river for your use. Great for the beginner or experienced paddler.

Paddlers choose from four trips which vary in length from 2 miles or 1 hour to 10 miles or 5.5 hours. We also offer launch and transports services if you own your own canoe or kayak. We can structure your trip to match your desired level of fun, time, and challenge. Take an hour or make a day of it because we charge by the trip, not by the hour.
